Joe Nangle is a design researcher, strategist, and venture co-founder with deep experience in climate, energy, and conservation. With 8+ years of experience bridging customer research, product development, and program management, Joe takes clients from ambiguous problems to scaled solutions.

At Mach49, Joe co-founded Habitats.ai (AI-powered biodiversity monitoring) and led embedded research across 3 client engagements—all funded or approved and operational. He's conducted hundreds of stakeholder interviews to validate product-market fit and secure $1.5-3.2M seed rounds. At Sunrun, Joe built a customer experience program from 0 to 100,000+ customers annually, driving NPS and retention gains, and led the "Be the Guide" sales transformation and new market entry for thousands of sales reps.

He thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments that need one owner from discovery through implementation. Joe is also a committed mentor through the BU Questrom Honors Program & Cleantech Open, where he was named "2025 Rookie Mentor of the Year."
